SGE defeats Tallinn with 2:1 twice

Carnival revelers’s fair play neighborhood help

After their victory against Tallinn, the Frankfurt team only have one team to defeat in order to be able to compete in the UEFA Europa League in the group stage again. The fans on the Main consider the progress of course as done.  And that the Eagles will also reach the KO round this season as well.

The fact that the Frankfurters may enter the international soccer stage also in this season, they owe to the alleged followers of the “Määnzer” (Mainzer) Carnival. The 1st FSV Mainz 05 played on the last Bundesliga match day really after the fair play against TSG 1899 Hoffenheim. Because for the neighbors of the Rhine it was no longer a matter of sport. And they still gave everything against the Hoffenheimers. After a 0:2 backlog to the break, the “Mainzelmännchen” (Mainzer manikins) turned the game around. They won the match brilliantly with 4:2. Fair Play at its best.

Because of the 05er victory, the Hessen were still seventh in the Bundesliga final table. With this placement they secured themselves the right to participate in the qualification for the Europa League. A direct qualification would undoubtedly have been nicer. Because in the previous season, the Eintracht bled to death just in the semi-final against Chelsea F.C., the future UEFA Europa League winner. It is well known, that the Roman Abramovich squad has a few dimensions other financial sources than the Eagles. The London team were therefore, of course, able to send a completely different set of player material onto the pitch.

So far so good

Anyhow, the last year’s semi-finalists Eintracht Frankfurt took the first hurdle for sure. On 25 July, the slapdash kickers won away against the team of the former Hansa city of Tallinn, Flora, with 1:2. The return match took place on the first of August. And how could it have been otherwise, in a sold out, enthusiastically reviving Waldstadion.

A detour to the Eintracht world before they first play at home in the Waldstadion

The identification with the local Bundesliga team Eintracht in the Rhine-Main region is remarkably high. And above all, they are still in the process of growing noticeably. That’s why football knows how to get things moving. The most popular sport on Earth knows to become much much more than just the 90 minutes on the grass. It also exemplifies a diverse variety of meeting places. Friedrich Avenarius, for example, combined his old, iron-hard love of the moody diva with his job as managing director of the HESSENMETALL district group Rhein-Main-Taunus. Accordingly, the SGE and Hessenmetall will cooperate closely and on a long-term basis in the future. For the new season, the interest representatives and consultants of over 600 member companies from the metal and electrical industries will support the Hessian Bundesliga club.

“Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences” also cooperates with Bundesliga club vom Main

The real driving power behind this cooperation is Prof. Dr. Frank E.P. Dievernich, He is the President of the university. And a very faithful Eagle fan. With the President’s institution Fredi Bobic & Co have an internationally recognized partner for performance and diversity.

And what connects the two gentlemen in addition to their love to the football club from the Main? They are both cornerstones of the first official Eintracht fan club on all continents, the EFC Bembel Beduinen. Done deal.
