Lord Mayor Feldmann and the “Honorarybembel”

Awarded annually

“A wreath is much easier to bind than to find a worthy head for it. “

This statement, which is certainly true, comes from a world-famous Frankfurt native, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. In our case, it is not a wreath, but rather an honorary emblem, the so-called “Honorarybembel”. It is awarded annually by the official Eintracht Frankfurt fan club, the EFC Bembel Beduinen. In 2016 the Lord Mayor of the city of Frankfurt am Main, Peter Feldmann was elected. In his office, he has always effectively supported Eintracht as well as the EFC Bembel Beduinen.

Dubai and Frankfurt am Main are twin cities

Because of the town twinning, Lord Mayor Feldmann often comes to Dubai. So the honorary emblem could be handed over to him personally in 2016 in Dubai, at the headquarters of the EFC Bembel Beduinen.

Our contribution was taken from the official stadium magazine of Eintracht Frankfurt Fußball (football) AG, in the “Fankurve” (fan curve) section.
